Here’s what to expect for your paint project

Project Kick-off

At the outset, I engage clients in a comprehensive discussion to understand their vision, objectives, and color preferences. This phase lays the foundation for a complete understanding of all the work that is being done for the client.

This step includes the free estimate, which is a roundabout price of the project based on the job description. The exact prices will be listed on the quote if the client wishes to proceed to the next step.

Your Quote & Contract

Once the initial scope of work is discussed and color samples have been established, I will send the client a detailed quote including: the job description, step-by-step labor details with the price of each step, as well as all materials used on the project and the price for each. This quote will be very detail oriented down to the amount of all paint and materials; to the exact line and grade of paint to the sheen.

Once you the client are satisfied with every aspect of your quote, we can start the contact process. I try to keep my contacts as simple as possible to ensure the client and myself are protected from any unforeseen events. The client will receive a copy of the contract for their records.

Booking & Scheduling

After the contract is squared away and both parties agree on all aspects of the quote and contract, it’s time to get on the books. I schedule projects on a first-come, first-served basis. On the quote will be the expected job duration for your project, so it is clear how long I will be on the job site. Using that info, I will send a calendar confirmation of your exact start and job completion date. Note: any specific dates requested by the client will be taken into consideration and fulfilled, depending on the job duration and when it needs to be completed per the client’s request.

To finalize being put on the books, an initial deposit of 25% of the material cost found on the quote will be due to ensure your spot.

Onsite Process

When I arrive at the job site, I will collect the remaining 75% of the material cost from the client to start the job. On the first day, all prep and necessary steps will be taken to guarantee full protection of the client’s property. All work to take place over the duration of the job will be vividly and explicitly detailed in the client’s quote.

Upon completion and client satisfaction, all tools and materials will be removed from the job site, and the job site will be cleaned of all dust and particulates. If there is furniture on site, it will be moved back to the original position before the project started. All nails and wall hangers will be left in a plastic bag for the client to reuse. Finally, on the way out, the total labor cost will be collected.
